What is Cebollajo?
Cebollajo is a chef-led restaurant in La Ventana, Baja California Sur, offering Oaxacan-inspired coastal Mexican cuisine through a seasonal four-course tasting menu.
What does the name Cebollajo mean?
It blends cebolla (onion) and ajo (garlic) — the way Chef Raymond begins many of his recipes.
Is Cebollajo an à la carte restaurant?
No. Cebollajo offers a fixed four-course tasting menu and occasional omakase experiences with guest chefs. The menu changes with the catch of the day and the season.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations are made directly through WhatsApp at +52 612 170 3988. The current menu is shared when your reservation is confirmed.
How much is the tasting menu?
The four-course set menu starts at $850 MXN per person and includes the agua fresca of the day. Gratuity is not included. Guest chef omakase dinners start at $1,300 MXN per person and may vary by chef or event.
How can I pay?
Payment is mainly in cash. Mexican pesos and US dollars are accepted.
When is Cebollajo open?
Cebollajo operates seasonally from November through June, reopening on November 2, 2026. Dinner is served Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Are walk-ins accepted?
Walk-ins are welcome when space is available, but reservations are recommended.
Does Cebollajo offer vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free alternatives are available. Please share dietary preferences and allergies in advance when making your reservation.
Are children and pets welcome?
Yes. A children’s menu can be arranged with advance notice, and Cebollajo is pet friendly — the kitchen can even prepare something special for your pet if you let us know ahead of time.
Is there parking and accessible access?
Yes. There are about 20 parking spaces next to Casa del Tío. Guests with reduced mobility are welcome; please mention it when you reserve so the team can prepare.
Does Cebollajo host private dinners and events?
Yes. Cebollajo hosts private dinners, groups, weddings and special events — up to 66 guests regularly and up to 150 for weddings and events. Details are quoted through WhatsApp.

Is Cebollajo only for guests of Casa del Tío?
No. Cebollajo shares the property with Casa del Tío, but it is its own dining concept and welcomes outside visitors as well as hotel guests.
